There are still a lot of questions about your sale, such as what type of books you wanted to sell (specific genre or all of them), how big the discounts were compared to the other book stores at your area, what did you do at the event (how did you host the event), and etc. We would give you the best advice if we could have more information about your event.
Anyway, there is one way to make your sale more interesting for people and sell more books at the same time. It’s called “4 seconds sale”. You will need to prepare books that you want to sell (it’s better if they were recently released) and build a small stage for you. On the stage, every 5-10 minutes you will need to present a new book with a bigger discount for your customers. They will have to decide to buy it or not in 4 seconds. You will need to make it as a game. And you will see that people like to buy things impulsively, especially if they are limited in time and they are offered a good discount.
